Thunderbass

Deliberately powerful. Impressively built. M.V. Pedulla's hand-crafted Thunderbass combines
performance driven styling and full-bodied tone in an instrument created for the bassist who accepts no
compromises. Like a finely tuned sports car, it responds to even the subtlest nuance, following the
player's every movement to deliver a tight, percussive bottom and a clear, focused tone. From the sleek
sculptured body and complimentary headstock, to the gold-plated tuners and machined brass bridge,
every aspect of the Thunderbass reflects the high standards of craftsmanship that have characterized
M.V. Pedulla instruments since 1975.

At the heart of the Thunderbass' wide dynamic range and meaty tone is a painstakingly perfect match of
specially devised circuitry and select hardwoods. A straight forward control setup consisting of a master
volume, a master tone, and a pickup-blend knob govern the active preamp and two proprietary tone
modules designed in conjunction with Bartolini. The "Thunderguts" switchable circuit gives the bassist
access to heavier, darker textures while maintaining the Thunderbasssignature and well placed punch.
The result is maximum versatility with minimum clutter.
M.V. Pedulla's Thunderbass is offered in two styles, the T and the ET. Both are available in 4, 5, and 6-string models, all with
neck-through-body design, rich goldplated hardware, an ebony fingerboard, Bartolini pickups, and M.V. Pedulla's remarkable active circuitry.

The T features an extremely rigid three-piece neck of quartersawn maple flanked by two pieces of AA or AAA Eastern curly maple, finished
in lustrous polyester.

Sophisticated and exotic, the ET has a five-piece neck of Maple and Bubinga that bisects a sculptured body consisting of a soft curly maple
base with a variety of top woods: Zebra, Quilt, Bubinga, Cocobola, or Birdseye. Its oil/urethane finish brings out the bass' deep, elegant
beauty while providing an outstanding degree of protection and a supple smooth feeling.

MVP/Buzz

Based on the unique design that first brought the M.V. Pedulla to prominence, the MVP and Buzz basses combine hard-hitting tone with
player-friendly ergonomics, making them favorites for the stage and studio alike. Available in 4-,5-,6-, and 8-string configurations, the MVP is
a fretted bass featuring neck-through body construction for superb sustain and tone, plus a sleek ebony fingerboard and a beautifully
sculpted flame maple body. The ergonomic design includes a deep cutaway on the treble side for easy access to all 24 frets, and an extended
bass-side horn that provides a perfect balance point when a strap is used. The MVP's body and neck are likewise balanced to keep the
instrument from being neck-heavy.

A three-piece laminated maple neck passes through the entire length of the body, providing maximum stiffness and sustain. In addition, a
double-acting truss rod and two steel stiffening bars in the neck reinforce the neck and maintain stability. The 24-fret ebony fingerboard is
inlaid with 5mm pearl dots, and its hardness resists wear and contributes to the MVP's distinctive tone and sustain.

Standard electronics include a Bartolini TC-4 stereo preamp, with a choice of custom-made Bartolini PJ, JJ, or SB-style pickups. For maximum
flexibility, the controls consist of a master volume, pickup pan, and active presence/passive tone. Hardware is a specially chosen complement
of a bone nut, ABM adjustable machined brass bridge with roller saddles, and Pedulla/Gotoh tuning machines. A polyester finish protects the
MVP from the rigors of performance and travel. Because of its tremendous toughness, the finish can be applied lightly so that it does not
mask or interfere with the MVP's true tone.

The fretless version of the MVP, the Buzz series embodies the essence of what a fretless bass should be:responsive to every nuance, able to
translate the most subtle of musical expressions, yet possessing the same authoritative tonal specturm as the MVPs. (The Buzz series
consists of the Buzz, PentaBuzz, HexaBuzz, and OctaBuzz, with 4, 5, 6, and 8 strings, respectively.) Its polyester-finished fingerboard is
glass-smooth, giving the Buzz its distinctive voice and ability to stand up to the demands of fretless performance over the long haul. Inlaid
white markers in the fingerboard guide the player, and are especially helpful to both beginners and seasoned veterans. All other features of
the Buzz are identical to the fretted MVP models.

Thunderbolt

The Thunderbolt embodies virtually all of the elements that make the Thunderbass one of the most desirable instruments for bass players of
every musical inclination, but uses a bolt-on neck rather than a through-body design. the elegant styling, incredible tone, and great feel are
here in a bolt-on-neck bass that shares most aspects of the Thunderbass' look and feel, but it has a formidable personality all its own.

The Thunderbolt is constructed so that its neck fits the body like a hand fits a glove. Every neck is individually selected, tested, and fit into a
neck slot with absolutely no spare space, resulting in a more solid feel, a more solid tone, and a neck with rock-steady stablity. In addition, the
transition from the neck to the body is tapered so that the feeling is more like a neck-through-body instrument, and access to the upper frets
is completely unhindered.

The neck is extremely rigid maple with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, a classic combination that feels velvety, sound warm, and inspires
musicality. With 22 frets instead of 24, the Thunderbolt's slightly shorter fingerboard offers the player a meatier, substantial slap-style sound,
plus the combination of the woods and the electronics yield the classic, punchy attack that propels the bottom end onstage or in the studio.
Also intended to enhance the Thunderbolt's tone, the machined brass bridge imparts extra highs while keeping a firm grip on the bottom end,
anchoring the tone to the maple body and translating into dynamic tonal response.

No less impressive than the neck is the sculpted body, consisting of soft Eastern curly maple with a bookmatched top of flamed maple.
Extremely durable polyester finishes are available in all of Pedulla's sunbursts and tints, or solid black.

The Thunderbolt features the same exclusive Pedulla active electronics as those employed in the Thunderbass, plus the straightforward
control setup consisting of a master volume, a master tone, and a pickup-blend knob to govern the preamp and two proprietary tone modules
designed in conjunction with Bartolini. The result is maximum versatility with minimum clutter. And like Pedulla's Thunderbass and Thunderbuzz
fretless, its Thunderguts™ switchable circuit adds abother dimension to its already devastating tonal range, accessing a thicker character with
a tight, articulate low end and midrange.

Rapture Bass

Flowing, racy looks, an immense, commanding tone, and a comfortable ergonomic "feel" are all integrated into the Rapture Bass, bringing
together such traditional elements as a strategically-placed single pickup, and a rock-solid 4-bolt maple neck with a 22 -fret rosewood
fingerboard.

Other time-proven attributes include a bone nut and a machined brass bridge with height and intonation-adjustable barrel-style saddles. The
soft Eastern Maple body and single-piece Flatsawn Hard Eastern Maple neck with internal stiffening bars contribute extra strength and tonal
authority.

Specially tailored active electronics bring out the bass' unique tonal range. Separate bass and treble boost/cut knobs and a volume control
give complete flexibility in shaping the sound. A mid-cut switch accentuates the Rapture Bass' gut-sshaking sub -bottom, while emphaxizing
high-end clarity and
growl, delivering vintage punch with an extra-wide attack.

The Rapture Bass is offered in striking tints and
colors. Tints and Sunbursts have a tortoise shell pickguard. The solid candy colors have the pearl pickguards. Both the body and the
headstock are finished in smooth, durable polyester. The neck has a satin polyurethane finish that gives an
ultra-sleek, oil-finish feel while protecting the wood.

The challenge in manufacturing the Rapture Bass, is to bring Pedulla quality to you and at a more moderate price. While machinery can be
used successfully to speed up many parts of production, we know the distinction in manufacturing "high end" integrity is realizing where hand
craftsmanship can never be replaced.
